Meeting the client brief. (U3: M4, D1)
Learning outcome 4 (U3): Be able to carry out post-production techniques and processes for an original media product to a client brief.
M4
I have exported them both as a Jpeg, and by clicking on the images you can see that.

Layout: The layout of my magazine keeps to all the code and conventions of a regular magazine for example having the masthead at the top and have lots of different cover lines. I also placed in a bar-code to make sure that it looks like a magazine front cover not a poster. In the double page spread I placed in the numbers of the pages making sure its looks like its in a magazine. The skyline of the magazine has lots of different artists that the magazine would talk about. The strap line has 4 free posters in side. issue number is the first one and pricing is £4.50 this all keeps to the client brief as it would hit the codes and conventions for a print based music magazine.
Colour scheme:The colour scheme of the magazine is dark and mysterious this gives the magazine an edgy feel and the dark colours are conventional to my genera as its a bull to keep in the rap genres but also has some light colours in it. The red gives the rap feel of it as it would be associated with blood and violence. The other colour is blue showing flow of what the group feels when they are talking about there pasts giving the exclusivity of the article. This would meet the client brief as has a main music genre that is a vibrant music scene developing locally in north London.
Fonts: For the fonts I would have 4 main fonts that are used in them all (Distortion Dos Analogue, Blacklisted, Doctor Glitch and Calibri). All these fonts where downloaded from daftness.com. The fonts also would give it a glitch and distorted feel to it and helps keep with what i want for the magazine. This would also meet the client brief as it keeps to the new vibrant music scene that is developing locally and that would be rap.

Picture: The picture was taken by me and then i edited it by making it look distorted and glitchy. This was done so the magazine would keep to the theme of dark and mysterious. The picture also would go with the client brief as it was taken in North London. This is good as it shows artists from North London being in the suburbs of it.
Client brief:
The exported media product meets the client brief as it is a music magazine that is for north London the reason why it hits this is because the main double page spread is about a North London group that have some to shine and this would also show that the magazine is capable of not just being in North London but can go across all areas of London.
Suitability of my final products
Strengthens:
The strengthens of the front cover is that it can be easily associated with the London rap genres this is good as it keeps to the client brief . Another strength in the magazine is that it is very eye catching making it stand out very well with its glitch and distorted look to it.
Weaknesses:
The weakness of my magazine is that the text for the front cover is difficult to see as the fonts colour and the pictures colour don't go well together and makes it difficult to see. The way to improve this would be that i should have put the drop shadow to the text so it would make it easier to read it. I could also have made the hue and opacity of the text so its see able.

Front Cover
The background I created was heavily edited to create a distorted look. I did this by changing the colour correction in the background and get ride of the red in the picture and then used the marquee tool and selected random parts and move them left or right to make the glitch and distorted look to it. The effect of this blurry, distorted, glitch background creates meaning because it builds mystery for the reader and looks unique therefore attracting the audience's eye. The colours that I used for this distortion are red, blue, black and a hint of white. These colours create meaning as they connote darkness and danger, which are themes in rap. This would link to the client brief because it keeps to the vibrant music scene developing locally.
Drop shadow on the star image was edited to make sure that the magazine didn't have any dead space. I did this by double clicking on to the picture and I went to the stoke effect and i made the size 4. - emphasis on the words around the stars making the front cover look more eye catching . This creates meaning by outlining the main stars that would feature into the magazine giving more enforces to how they stand out to the crowd and show importance to new rappers being "rising stars" . This relates to the brief as it covers the codes and conventions of a print based magazine. I know this from other magazines from having this and makes them more eye catching for the my target audience.EMBED AN IMAGE OF A STAR
Use of layers in the creation of my products was done with the mast head as it is in the front of the main image of my front cover. This was done by putting in the layer of the main image behind the mast head image. This creates meaning as the title of my magazine seems the most important part. This is good as the target audience will be able to know the magazines title as soon as they look at it. Also the font size is the biggest which backs up this point. This would relate to the brief as it is able to go on to a print based magazine this meets the brief as the brief instructs to produce a new online and print based music magazine.Double Page Spread
In the double page spread I put boxes under the text. The way i did this was use the rectangular tool this was done to make a rectangle and i then coloured it blue and lowed the opacity on it so people are able to see the back ground a lot easier. This would meet the client brief as with in the box the text is asking questions to north London rapper that has a very vibrant music scene that has developed and they are on the rise to star dome.
The colour scheme of the double page spread was black, white, red and blue. I have explain how I did this in detail before but i distorted the picture and when i was doing it, it made those colours in the process which i wanted to happen. This would create the magazine to stand out as it has very distinguishable colours that people are able to see as well as well as the colour in the text. this would help to grab more peoples attention when they would be walking past it. this would relate with the brief as it goes with the vibrant music scene this is because the colours have red and blue which represent the police and rap is connected to it to them in a way. Both products
When creating the front cover & double page spread I cropped the photos by zooming in on to the photo i did this by using the keys Ctrl + T so the photo can change the shape and size of the photo making the artists in the photo the main image and so people are able to distinguish the groups that is featured on the magazine. This would create meaning as it shows the image of the group being big and gives the target audience the scene of the groups importance, influence and growth as new rap artists and that they are able to make a change in the rap scene if possible. It relates to the client brief as the magazine would be going with the new vibrant music scene developing locally the reason for this is because it is with new rap artists that are coming up in North London.

The Locations used, in both the front cover and double page spread are North London based. This was done when I took the photos and then edited them in Photoshop. This Creates meaning for the reader because it makes them know about how local a rising rap artist is so close to them and that if they want to they could come to this dream as well as these people didn't come out with everything and they where just the same as the readers.I also used Colour correction to removed the colour and made it black and white. The way I did this was I go on to image then Adjust and then click on to the black and white option. - screenshot. This creates meaning from the black and white because the run down atmosphere of Rap is mixed in with the North London suburbs. This Relates to the client brief because it's north London and as the brief explains that it wants it to be based in North London. It is also able to be interchangeable with other parts of London making that also relate to the brief.
